Introducing Our Clean Air Campaign

Dentist in MonumentContinuing our dedication to provide you with the safest environment for your dental care and as we approach the re-opening process scheduled for May, we want to put you at ease that our practice is doing everything we can to mitigate the risk of exposure to Covid-19. In light of that, we are proud to announce our CLEAN AIR CAMPAIGN!

We have purchased six Surgically Clean Air purifiers that will be located around the office. These particular medical-grade purifiers have the ability to capture very small particulates in the air, which includes the Covid-19 virion. In addition, all air entering the office will be purified via UV light. Ultraviolet light has the ability to inactivate viruses, bacteria, mold, mildew and fungi. This is a central until that will be installed on our rooftop.

What is Ozone?

Ozone is a chemical compound consisting of three atoms of oxygen. It’s a naturally occurring substance that has no toxicity or side effects. Ozone therapy is widely used around the world for sterilizing water for medical operations and disinfecting medical and operating equipment. Holistic dentists in the United States are now using this same technology to naturally disinfect operatories.

Finally, we will be utilizing in-operatory Isolation systems that capture 90% of all dental aerosols. These devices captures particles that are generated from dental procedures that would otherwise become airborne. In fact, this is a technology we had before the Covid-19 virus became prevalent.

Dental offices have always been pre-conditioned to mitigate the exposure of all harmful pathogens. Although Covid-19 is a unique situation, we have been trained and have always applied aggressive techniques to combat the spread of disease- causing agents. This is a practice that was in place before the Covid-19 spread and is something we will continue to do.

You can breathe easy knowing that we are doing everything we can to make your dental visit safe and healthy.

Additional precautionary measures that our office will always take to ensure yours and our safety:

Hand Hygiene

Proper handwashing is one of the most important measures our team takes to prevent the spread of infection. For routine dental exams and nonsurgical procedures, we wash thoroughly with water and hand soap specifically created for healthcare settings.

Personal Protective Equipment

We possess and use all necessary protective equipment, including face masks, gloves, protective eyewear, and protective clothing. Worn by our team and changed regularly, Personal protective equipment is designed to protect everyone in our practice from exposure to infectious agents.

Sterilization and Disinfection of Patient-Care Items and Devices

Instruments and equipment used in your care are all regularly sterilized and disinfected to ensure that your health is maintained. Items such as surgical instruments and mouth mirrors are all subject to rigorous cleanings.

The Use of Ozonated Water

Our team makes use of ozonated water to wipe out biofilms, including bacteria and viruses in our dental delivery units. This equipment is also used as a pre-rinse for all patients. 100x more potent than bleach, this antimicrobial agent helps to ensure our equipment is kept sanitary at all times.

Regular Sanitation

Common touchpoints, including seating, workspaces, door handles, railings, and restrooms are sanitized on a regular basis by our team with effective cleaning solutions certified to kill viruses.

Thank you for your continued trust and confidence in our team. Together, we can overcome these circumstances and continue your path to greater health. We look forward to taking care of you at your next appointment and wish you and your family the very best.
